I have been online for about 10 years now. I guess I take for granted what I have learned in the past ten years online. I have a reputation as a newbie torturer in chat rooms. Trust me, it is a title that is well-deserved. It's a stress reliever I guess..maybe because I have to be so nice and sweet all day long at my job. It is amazing to me that they let me teach newbies how to use the Internet. We are in week two of a four week class. Attendance is optional this week, they can do all of the assignments online at home.
Three out of seven students showed up tonight and we worked together on the assignments to be done. I was kind, gentle and patient. Iam beginning to think I could be an elementary school teacher with the patience I have with this group of non-traditional students. It was a good class, and I was home in time to watch Big Brother!
I had two surprises in the mail today. A delightful package of goodies from Sedda at Rad Bad Beanies..I was quite touched. I just send hats to Rad Bad Beanies as a charitable gift, I don't expect presents in return! It was very nice of her to do..a tape measure, a cool little yarn snipping scissor thing and some knitting note cards that are very cool! I also had a snail mail card from Susan with a cow girl on the front...made me long for Texas. Thanks Susan it was a great surprise!
Just mindless knitting on a washcloth while watching Big Brother tonight. I was too tired to tackle mitten number two...mostly because I am going to have to think to make the other one sorta look like this. An e-mail exchange with Dave tonight between work and class put a few more bitchin' mitten ideas in my head.
How was your day?
