Usually I am the one doing for others, but now it's my turn to send out a call for help. My mom has been a patient in the hospital for several weeks. It started with ecoli, that ultimately ended up causing her to need to have a pacemaker inserted and last week she had to have a few days of dialysis. To say the least it's been a really rough time for her. For my entire life she has been a strong independent woman, it's hard to see her in the hospital bed merely nodding her head yes or shaking her head no. She's exhausted and spends most of her time sleeping.
I went down to spend some time with her today, taking her a fresh floral arrangement to help brighten her room. One thing I realized as I sat there..she didn't have one get well card. Good grief, how in the world could I have let that slip by, you all know what a card sender I am. I have a few cards to get into the mail for her this week, and I've emailed my daughters and asked them to send her a card. I got to thinking, that she will love and appreciate that, but how nice it would be to receive a few more get well cards from others.
So, that brings me to the favor I'm asking today...if you have time, a card and a stamp could you send some get well soon wishes her way? I know it would mean a lot to her and I kinda think she could use a boost of hope this week.

A few positive vibes sent her way couldn't hurt either. Thank you...

Hello Ann - I'm a blog friend of Dave's. I'll send a card from England. My MIL had a major stoke in August so I know what you and your Mum are going through.

Dave sent me. My mom had emergency quadruple by-pass earlier this year, so I know how difficult it's been for you both. I just got the card ready and will drop it in the mail in a bit. Meantime, hoppy vibes for happy health!

As one who's been through the "mom-in-the-hospital" thing way too many times, I'm happy to send lots of get well soon vibes in her direction. And "hang in there" thoughts to you as well - remember to take care of yourself!

Healing thoughts headed your mom's way right now, and a card as soon as I can pick one up!
And some good thoughts for you as well. This is tough. (((Ann))) Hang in there.

Got her via Dave's blog. A card and prayers are being sent on behalf of your Mom. They do help. My sister-in-law in Florida started in-hospital chemo today -- she has leukemia (AML) and was in critical condition a couple weeks ago. So I know all the good wishes and thoughts and prayers certainly won't do a bit of harm. Best to you and your family.

Dave did not send me. Maybe if he had, I would have gotten here sooner. /sigh
I'm so sorry that your mom is going thru this, sweetie. It never seems fair that they do so much for us and end up looking so tiny in a hospital bed. I'll get a card in the mail as soon as I can get a stamp from the cat.
Hope you're doing well, too.
